How is your programming different than CrossFit at an affiliate? Why subscribe to Unbroken Performance Training?
My program is more aligned with Original CrossFit then today’s CF at the affiliates. This was the goal of CrossFit:
Who Has Benefited From CrossFit?
Many professional and elite athletes are participating in the CrossFit program. Prizefighters, cyclists, surfers, skiers, tennis players, triathletes and others competing at the highest levels are using the CrossFit approach to advance their core strength and conditioning…
When I joined CF in 2015, the programming was close to how Greg envisioned it.
But it wasn’t fun to come in and just working on a skill and not get sweaty. At the time there was a CF slogan “Everyday, lift something heavy and get out of breath”
I believe the affiliates mistakenly created daily [WOD + Strength] out of this.
I can help you find one optional and external strength program for the middle of the week to increase a max lift, but the daily workouts includes moderate and heavy lifting all throughout the week. You will get stronger with just my WOD (Workout Of the Day) programming! And instead of a strength program this time could be used to work on skills (gymnastics, calisthenics, plyometrics etc.)
» I am in the business to make my workouts compatible with an active life outside of the gym; Sports, Running, Hiking, Business, Work, Taking care of your Family and Children etc. How CF was meant to be used!
I am a runner and have different goals than you. I am training for a Spartan race and workout 2-3 times a day. I also really want to increase my Deadlift max. You don’t have to be like me! Unbroken Performance Training is the shared grind stone we can use to workout together. 🤜🤛
Who should subscribe and what equipment do they need?
I am sharing my workouts I perform at FortitudeFitness during “Open Gym” hours. They have all the regular CF equipment but also fun stuff like tractor tires.
But as my subscribers grow I will take their situation into consideration. We might program an extra workout that can be easily done at home. But weights will be needed. Either dumbbells or kettlebells will be minimum required equipment.
When?
At the time of this writing, Unbroken Performance Training has 10 subscribers but only 2 of us workout together around 1PM. I post the workout the day before.
We normally workout 5 days a week. When more people decide to get involved I might post a full week in advance. What are YOU waiting for? The cows are home:
Safety note - If you do perform my programming at a gym they will have you sign a waiver that you claim all responsibility for injury etc. I will do my absolute best to present the movements to you on the postings and I can also demonstrate them to you if you workout with me in person. I am also creating “Unbroken Performance Training Academy” which will give you more material to master movements with proper form. Ultimately I claim no responsibility for injury or damage to person or object. Scale appropriate and don’t push yourself so hard that you can’t perform movements with proper form.
…And always make sure you stay hydrated - Be aware of Rhabdomyolysis!
