As you probably know by now, I am not impressed with current CF affiliate programming. I didn’t understand or was able to judge the quality of the programming until I became active outside of the gym: trail running, OCR, arm-wrestling, soccer etc. but just walking, hiking and getting 12K steps a day changed my life and priorities. My peak performance needs to be outside of the gym!
I believe this company has driven my CF workouts the last few years: ➡️ WODprep Their website offer a sample week programming affiliates can download. [1] It plans 3 strength sessions in the same week combined with the daily workout: Snatch Complex, Power Cleans and Front Squat. [2] WODprep has a slogan “Rx more workouts”, which is noble, right!? [3] They sell double-unders, handstand push-ups, bar/ring muscle ups on the start page. These movements represent belt colors in CF. If you can do HSPU you have a purple belt etc.

I have worked out and been part of sport activities with guys/girls who are super fit and healthy but according to WODprep they are just losers and suckers.
This might be harsh but CF has now made the gym the most important arena where you have to show your peak performance or people will laugh at you. I blame WODprep for this. [1] Their 3 days of strength work is way too much and how can they guarantee that members show up on the next session - or is it just random and have no other purpose than [2] make the athlete tired for the workout!? So tired that he struggle going Rx and now need to scale! This will make him a good candidate to come back to you for more… [3] Double-unders, BMU and HSPU are useless skills outside of the gym. You can train same muscles just fine with regular functional movements. If you have gone through the pain to learn these skills, good for you - you can shine in the gym!

This last pic above was after my first run around Mt. Helens. It was a big deal. When I later ran around Mt. Hood with greater distance and more vertical ascent, I was back to not only running but playing soccer 2 days later. I credit this to correct running volume and training that is paying off.
